The Mayors' Luncheon served as the UNCF Annual Fundraiser in Fort Worth for several decades, spanning the 1950s through the 1970s. This event was co-hosted by successive Fort Worth mayors until 1973, when support transitioned to the Dallas Mayor's Masked Ball.
In 2019, the Tarrant County Education Foundation (TCEF) was established as an endowed scholarship partner of UNCF. TCEF added a student arts project to expand TCEF’s exposure. We invited the then-Mayor of Fort Worth, Betsy Price, to endorse the initiative.
TCEF continues to benefit from the support of Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, who led the charge as luncheon keynote speaker in 2023 and 2024.
Today, TCEF encompasses UNCF scholarships, TCEF Scholarships, a special Mayor’s Award, and museum recognition of its student art projects.
By supporting TCEF, you are directly investing in the educational advancement of local students, empowering future leaders, and strengthening the fabric of our community. Your involvement helps provide critical scholarships and recognition, opening doors to higher education and lifelong success for deserving individuals.
We invite all community members, leaders, and partners to join us in championing TCEF and its mission. Together, we can create lasting opportunities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and the future of Fort Worth.

The Art of Giving Mayor's Luncheon is the premiere TCEF fundraising event that benefits TCEF and UNCF scholarships. This intimate luncheon is an underwritten event that a Tarrant County Mayor hosts. All donations support scholarships.
We thank Rainwater Foundation for sponsoring this year's Art of Giving Mayor's Luncheon.

Chartered buses will take them to visit three Texas colleges. Many of these students have never left their local communities and are not likely to be escorted by their parents to preview a college of interest. These students will receive firsthand experience on a college campus, which is sure to make an impact on the lives of these young college hopefuls. Students will visit Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University at College Station, TX, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. This three-day adventure will increase college applications and boost interest in seeking scholarships to attend college in the fall.
