PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
Arlene matriculated at Bennett College in Greensboro, N.C., and Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. Dr. Barnett served as a Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve for six years. She was the first African American woman to be the Chief Medical Director of the Cooper Road Medical / Dental Health Clinic in Shreveport. Dr. Barnett served in local and national leadership in the National Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Co-founder of the Barnett Dental Group of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Kids Stop Dental of Fort Worth, Texas now retired after 43 years in private practice.
Married to Dr. John L. Barnett Jr., has three children and three grandchildren. Co-founder, President and Executive Director of the Tarrant County Education Foundation, Chair of TCEF Art of Giving STEM initiatives, and an art enthusiast and collector. She serves as Chair of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art Ambassador’s Council, on the Board of the Multicultural Alliance, Chair of Unity Unlimited Juneteenth Celebration Initiative, Arlington Museum of Art Steering Committee, Co-Founder of Salon Art Conversations, Patron of the Modern Museum of Art Fort Worth, member of the Texas Women for the Arts, the Fort Worth Forum and a life member of the NAACP.
Past President of the Fort Worth (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and member of the Dallas/ Fort Worth Chapter of Moles, Chums, and Fort Worth Jack & Jill of America Associates.

TREASURER & FOUNDER
Shirley Pace is a true renaissance woman. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, she was educated in the Fort Worth Independent schools and attended college at Tarrant County College. Through her pursuits in the creative arts, song, politics, education and chiefly the Word of God, First Lady Shirley Anne Pace has been blessed with more than 30 years of experience, training and wisdom in the ministry. She is co-founder of the Saintsville Baptist Church, Inc., founder and director of the Saintsville Childcare Center, and co-founder of Tarrant County Education Foundation. She’s served on numerous boards including the Women’s Haven, YWCA, and the Arts of Fort Worth Board. She is currently President of The Baptist Ministers Wives and Widows Union of Fort Worth, a member of The Fort Worth Chapter of Links, Incorporated, The Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex of Chums Incorporated, The DFW Chapter of The Moles, and an Associates member of Jack & Jill of America Fort Worth Chapter. She is a member of Saintsville Cathedral of Fort Worth, Rev. Milton Pace is the pastor.
